Current Conditions
Much of the infrastructure of Cottage Grove's Historic District is in need of repairs and upgrades.
Many of the curbs and alleys are not up to current ADA standards. Each of the crosswalks and curbs have been identified and given a rank from 1-3:
Rank 3 means the curb is up to current ADA standards.
Rank 2 means the curb is not up to current ADA standards but is sloped.
Rank 1 means the curb comes to a stop with no slope or ADA ramp.
The current rankings for the crosswalk curbs within the historic district:
- Rank 1: 10 curbs
- Rank 2: 39 curbs
- Rank 3: 5 curbs
- Total Curbs: 54
Out of 54 crosswalks in the historic district, only 5 curbs are up to current ADA standards.
The current rankings for the alley curbs within the historic district:
- Rank 1: 8 alleys
- Rank 2: 2 alleys
- Total Alleys: 10
None of the alley crossings in the Historic District are currently up to ADA standards.
