2022-23 Adopted Budget Document
The 2022-23 Proposed Budget was presented to the Budget Committee on Thursday, May 10, 2022 beginning at 6:00 pm. The Budget Committee held a Public Hearing to receive comments from the public regarding the expenditure of State Shared Revenues and the Proposed Budget. The Notice of Budget Hearing - State Shared Revenue and 2022-23 Approved Budget can be found here.
The meeting was held in person and virtually on-line. Written testimony could be submitted by 4:00 pm up to the date of the meeting to the City Recorder at City Hall, by email sent to cityrecorder@cottagegrove.org or by using the online comment form found on the Agendas.
After receiving the Budget Message and reviewing the Proposed Budget the Committee approved the proposed budget with changes and recommended adoption to the City Council. At a meeting held June 13, 2022, the City Council held two public hearings, one to receive comment regarding the Uses of State Shared Revenues, and a public hearing concerning the Budget. The Approved Budget with changes recommended by staff and the consideration of public testimony received June 13, 2022, was presented to the City Council for their final review and consideration for adoption on June 27, 2022. The changes are outlined in the Adopted Budget on pages vi through vii.
The City Council adopted Resolution No. 2075, Adopting the 2022-23 Budget, Making Appropriations, and Imposing and Categorizing Ad Valorem Taxes. The resolution is included in the Appendix of the Adopted Budget.
