Planning Commissioner Recruitment

The City of Cottage Grove Planning Commission has a vacancy effective January 16, 2020. The Commissioner positions are appointed to this volunteer body by the City Council and successful applicants will hold the position for a three year term that starts January 2020 and ends in December of 2022. Current Planning Commissioners are eligible to re-apply for the positions.

The Planning Commission is scheduled to meet monthly for a Work Session on the 2nd Wednesday and for the Regular Meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers, located at 400 E. Main Street. The Commission is a seven-member, City Council appointed body, that takes action and makes recommendations to the City Council on a variety of current and long-range land use matters. Five of the seven members must live within the City. Commissioners serve a four-year term of appointment.
