Council Vacancy - Ward 1
Councilor Jake Boone submitted announced his resignation that was effective February 5, 2021. As a result the City Council is taking applications until 5:00 pm, Friday, February 26, 2021 from anyone interested in filling the vacancy.
Applicants must be:
- a registered voter,
- reside within the City for at least one year before appointment, and
- reside in Ward 1 (see the ward map for the ward description).
The term for this position expires December 31, 2022 and the appointment will be until after the next general election in November 2022.
Applications forms are available at City Hall from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, or by downloading the form below.
The deadline to apply is February 26, 2021at 5:00 pm.
Interviews are planned to be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 between 5:30 and 7:00 pm. Please submit completed applications to City Recorder, Trudy Borrevik at City Hall in person or by email (cityrecorder@cottagegrove.org).
