Notice of Budget Committee Meeting and Public Hearing

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Cottage Grove, Lane County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 will be held virtually with limited space in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 400 Main Street.  The meeting will take place on the 6th day of May 2021 at 6:00 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget.  A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after Thursday, April 29th, 2021 at 400 Main Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or online at https://www.cottagegroveor.gov/finance/page/budget.  To review the budget in person, please call the Finance Department to arrange a time for pick-up. 

This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place.  The meeting will include a public hearing to discuss possible uses of state revenue sharing funds.

Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed budget or during the public hearing to discuss possible uses of state revenue sharing funds, should sign in to comment using the comment form available with the online version of the Budget Committee Agenda by 4:00 pm on the date of the meeting. The comment form can also be used to submit written comments or written comments can be delivered to the City Recorder. All written comments must be received by 4:00 pm the date of the meeting. Limited space for no more than 10 people will be available in the City Council Chambers to meet social distancing requirements if you are unable to attend by electronic means. Anyone wishing to comment in person at the Budget Committee Meeting can sign in at the meeting.

After the budget message has been delivered, and the presentation of the budget has been made, the Budget Meeting may be recessed until May 11th 2021, at 6:00 p.m. for further deliberation as needed.
