Application for Appointment to the City Council

Current Vacancies

At Large City Council Position
At the June 9, 2008 City Council meeting Councilor Robert Hunt resigned his position as he would be moving to out of state. The City Council is now accepting applications for the unexpired term of the At Large City Council position. The position will expire December 31, 2008. Applicants must live within the City of Cottage Grove and have resided within the City for at least one year prior to appointment. Applicants must also be a registered voter. Applications will be accepted in the City Manager's office until 5:00 p.m. on June 30, 2008. Application forms are available at City Hall or by clicking here. After receiving the applications the City Council will likely hold a special meeting to interview candidates and select a person to fill the remainder of the term.

PART-TIME EQUIPMENT MANAGER – The City of Cottage Grove is seeking a part-time (120 hours/month) Equipment Manager for the City’s Middlefield Golf Course to maintain and repair golf course equipment and, assist the Golf Course Superintendent with overall course operations and turf management.
