Municipal Court Amnesty Program
February 22, 2011 through May 20, 2011

Cottage Grove Municipal Court is offering a one-time only amnesty program to forgive a portion of overdue fines totaling $750.00 or more that are 2 years and older when you pay in full between February 22, 2011 and May 20, 2011.

To participate in this program, you must follow the guidelines below:

• Overdue fines are defined as those that are currently under suspension status.  Cases with restitution owed and criminal cases are excluded.
• You will receive one third off (33% discount)of the total balance due and waiver of all suspension fees for payment of total remaining balance . . . Reduction/discount will not be given for partial payments.
  
• Payments must be in the form of cash, money order, cashier's check, visa or mastercard (there is a fee for the use of the credit card). Payments can be made in person, via mail or taken over the phone with credit card.
  
• Driver's license suspension will be cleared at the time of full payment. (This will not affect any other DMV or court suspensions unrelated to nonpayment of Cottage Grove fines) You may also be subject to a $75.00 fee payable to the DMV to reinstate your driver's license.
