| Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) Commonly referred to as the "Audit" is an annual requirement for the City of Cottage Grove. Each year a licensed certified public accountant performs an audit of the City's financial statements. The CAFR is prepared to provide a report of the financial condition of the City. The goal of the independent audit is to provide reasonable assurance that the financial statement of the City are free of material misstatement and that the City is following proper procedures in handling the public's resources.
